Student Story – Charlotte Hauville and Harriet Burns

What did you study?
We were both studying the “Prescribing for Midwives” course through Griffith University.

Why did you choose your course and what do you enjoy the most about it?
Our course was extremely relevant to the goal we were trying to achieve of becoming Endorsed Midwives and starting our own private practice. We loved that it was run by other Endorsed Midwives and there was lots of opportunity to hear real life experience from others.

How has the CUC helped you with our studies?
The CUC was an amazing place for us to study individually, but also to meet up and work together. It is an excellent opportunity for those studying online to have access to a space free of distraction, where you can really focus. The complimentary tea is also a bonus!

Where have your studies taken you?
Now that we have finished our studies, we have been able to officially open Encircle Midwifery - our local private midwifery business. This is very special for us as it opens up new options for care during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period for the women of our community.
