Student Story – Jessica Dearth and Saydie Frim

What are you studying?
Master of Speech and Language Pathology at Macquarie University.

What brought you to Mudgee?
We’re here on prac, working with Community Health at Mudgee Hospital. We’re midway through our course - this is our last prac for this year, and then we have another year to go.

How has the CUC helped you with our studies?
CUC was very useful – it was a good place to go to get out of the house and work on assignments or have some quiet time. It was also good because it’s so open – you get a bit of the outside , even inside the study room.

How have you found working regionally?
We’ve enjoyed it so much – you get to do a whole variety of things, you’re not just going one job. It’s a lot more about teamwork - everybody knows everybody so there is more of a holistic focus in terms of our clients. We both desperately want to work regionally. We can feel the need there.
