Country Universities Centre Mudgee Region is a secure, quiet, air-conditioned space where students have everything they need to focus entirely on their studies. It is also a place where students can connect with like-minded people and experience a campus-like environment while they study locally in the region. We are focused on assisting our students through their study journey, making sure they have the tools to succeed and helping them to improve their academic skills, as required.

Access Hours

We recognise that our students often want the flexibility to balance their study/life/work needs and commitments. The Centre is staffed each business day and is open to registered students with swipe card access from 3:00am to 12:00 midnight, seven days a week every day of the year.

Technology

Available to all registered students is access to high-speed internet (150 Mbps connection), printing and photocopying, video conferencing facilities, desktop computers and BYO spaces.

Quiet Study Spaces

Students come to our Centre because they want a quiet study space where they can focus solely on their studies without the interruptions and distractions they face at home. We have tailored our environment with students at the forefront of our thinking.

Our Centre has three key study areas:

• A dedicated quiet open plan study room with computers and spaces to bring personal devices to work on.
• Co-Lab rooms that can be used for seminars, tutorials, workshops, exams and group work (or an even quieter space to study).
• Space for student collaboration and break out, including a social lounge and kitchen area, and an outdoor space with two protected tables and lighting.

Social Lounge

Having study breaks is important to the success for any student – their wellbeing, concentration and stamina – and being able to meet and socialise with fellow students is a key benefit of being a student with CUC Mudgee Region. In our light and bright ACEN Australia Social Lounge we have a well-appoint kitchen area with all sorts of snacks, coffee and tea. There is also a comfortable lounge area where students can take a well-earned break.

Outdoor Chill Zone

Through the support of Glencore, outside we have two shaded tables with solar lighting and good access to the Centre’s Wi-Fi where students can time out – or continue working – and take in some fresh air.
