Sustainability in Business
16 Apr 2026
On Thursday, 28th May, join us for a practical and thought-provoking event on sustainability in business. Hear from two visiting sustainability specialists about practical ways your business can save money, reduce waste, and support your local community.
Dr Milena Bojovic of University of Technology (UTS) will provide context and talk through the global sustainability picture – why it matters and where small businesses fit in.
Then sustainability consultant Amanda Choy will dive into sustainability in practice.
* The circular economy – designing products and services that keep materials circulating in the economy at their highest potential for the longest period,
* Sustainable procurement,
* Business models of certified sustainable businesses who put people and planet first, align with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and integrate social and environmental responsibility into their core operations and decision-making processes,
* Regulatory reporting.
There will also be plenty of time for attendees to ask any burning questions concerning sustainability and their business operation.
(Substantial finger food served 5.30pm–6.00pm)
